There's been a trend in the last couple days.
I thank God for the ability to notice repetitions. That means I am hearing Him and I understand He's taking me down memory lane.
Yesterday, My mom set up her new computer. She was looking through some thumb drives and come across pictures me of me from high school and college.
Yesterday, my daughter and I watched one of my favorite childhood cartoons, "Doug."
Today, I found an old blog page- in which I'm listening for God's "go" on releasing that link so you all may witness this amazing transformation.
In the last few weeks, I've been revisiting past journals as I work on another book.
When I was a child, my mom had a friend who coached my sister and I, through preparing from a talent show. We performed the "The Boy Is Mine." Well, today, she sent me the music video, asking me if I remembered.
I'm in a reflective state.
Sometimes we have to go back to see how far we've come. You've heard that before, right? But, Have you truly stopped to see? Or have you struggled to reflect on God's goodness because of the shame, guilt or pain of your past? Can you look back and see past the darkness? Can you see the light in hindsight? Are you willing to go back- not to stay but- to bring someone else out? Life flies by and we miss a lot when we don't stop to see.
Did you know what I realized?
God was there the entire time. He loves us even when we are a hot mess, lost, broken, and prideful. His grace, goodness and mercy has followed us thus far. We must be honest and consider if we've learned from our experiences.
I believe I've entered a time where I will be blogging more.
Are you okay with that? I will share some "Ah, Ha!" moments with you, some struggles... some wisdom.
So, I hope are ready.
Let's see where this goes.
Feel free to comment and ask questions, I'm here for it.
